The longest commute I had to take was in Moscow - it took around 2 hours to get from my Uni to my research institute and I was supposed to go 2-3 times a week. I used the time to learn english words which had proven to be valuable since.

But from other people I knew I heard about much longer commute. Like 3 hours one way every weekday for people who couldn't afford to live in the city, but wanted a job in Moscow downtown because it paid more. For those people commute didn't leave enough time to sleep unless they sleep in the train too.

Technically the challenge of a photoshoot in the subway is of course poor lighting. We used above ground portions of the line and of course off-peak hours worked best.
